YOU NEED TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE...
SIGN
UP FOR SIGCHI MEMBERSHIP NOW!
Whether you plan to lead the revolution in human-computer interaction (HCI) or simply observe as it unfolds, your membership in ACM's Special Interest Group on Human-Computer Interaction (SIGCHI) assures you a front-row seat.
As an ACM SIGCHI member, you will enjoy opportunities to network with HCI professionals in a variety of disciplines, receive the bi-monthly interactions in print and SIGCHI Bulletin by electronic distribution (e-mail). You also get discounts or membership rates on many conferences, workshops, and publications. You may join SIGCHI as part of your ACM membership, or you may become a SIGCHI member only. In either event, the annual cost of SIGCHI membership is $50.
SIGCHI membership also includes full access to all SIGCHI sponsored publications in the ACM Digital Library except for interactions.
On an ad-hoc basis members will also receive proceedings of new conferences launched by SIGCHI, CDs from interaction design shows, instructional CDs for various HCI techniques, and other similar material as it becomes available.
Membership in SIGCHI must be coordinated through ACM. Information and forms can be found on the ACM membership page.
As a member of ACM, you receive: Communications of the ACM — conference, journal, SIG, and book discounts — an e-mail forwarding address as a free service to members, and Internet access through "acm.org" — and more. Look at the following pages for details:
There are many local Special Interest Groups (SIGs) affiliated with SIGCHI. Joining a local SIG gives you access to nearby HCI professionals and enthusiasts. Many local SIGs have newsletters, conduct frequent meetings and workshops, and host interesting events. Membership information is best obtained directly from your local SIG.
